Herndon Skatepark Update 3

Workers at the Herndon skatepark location have been busy since our last visit.  Grading of the land has begun and is starting to form the layout of the skatepark with dirt hills and wooden posts.  Rebar has also been set in the bowl area, giving a nice visual of what will be skateable this coming Fall.

Reps from Grindline plan to visit the site next week to review the construction so far and oversee the first pour of ...

Band of Horses Skate Contest

Band of Horses is challenging you and you're "wheelie stick" to enter their BOH Skate Contest.  They're asking skateboarders to make a skate video with a song from their new album, Infinite Arms.

The band will judge each entry themselves and choose a winner with the "best ollies, grinds, and flips."  The winner gets free airfare and hotel (for 2) to Los Angeles, tickets to see one of their shows, a trip to Girl Skateboard's private training facility ...
