Date Began: August 1, 2008

Program lead: Stephen Jefferson

Description:

LCSP has recently begun this program as an experiment.  We take broken or unused skateboard decks, most donated by local skaters, and recycle them into keychains and other assortments for a unique earth-friendly product.

The Recycling Process

Step 1: Collect a few broken or used skateboards.

Step 2: Slice'em up!

Step 3: Slice them a little more.

Step 4: Sand them down and attach a chain or ribbon.

The result can be used for a variety of things from keychains to backpack accessories or belt attachments.  Different shapes and sizes are currently in the workshop with our creative minds and should be available soon.

If you are interested in giving broken or used skateboards for this program, please contact us and we would be glad to take them.
